The mission of our organization
The Lanna Thai Children’s Fund supports rural schools in Chiang Rai Province and Northern Thailand by improving education, student life, and learning environments. The organization provides essential needs like food, clothing, and transportation to help students thrive. LTCF promotes food security and hands-on learning through sustainable garden and agriculture programs, equipping students with practical skills, nutritious meals, and a stronger connection to their communities. These initiatives empower children to invest in their education and future well-being.
The goals of our organization
We are dedicated to improving educational standards, providing essential resources, and fostering a nurturing environment in Northern Thailand’s schools and communities. By ensuring that disadvantaged students have the support they need to thrive. In addition to academic support, LTCF champions sustainability through its garden and food programs, which provide nutritious meals to all students. These initiatives not only combat hunger but also promote health, well-being, and self-sufficiency, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Our goals
Education
The “Lanna Thai Childrens Fund” (LTC) assists in the educational process through local schools and cultural areas where needed in rural areas in Chiang Rai province and northern regions of Thailand. LTCF will insure children are provided a safe, nurturing, and clean school environment.
Scholarships and Grants
Lanna Thai Children’s Fund (LTCF) provides scholarship stipends to students based on need, academic performance, and attendance. These funds go directly to students and their families, supporting essential daily needs such as food, transportation, and school supplies. A portion is also set aside in trust to ensure future educational opportunities. Please contact us for more information if interested in sponsoring a student.
Community
Lanna Thai Children’s Fund (LTCF) promotes a healthy and sustainable community environment for students and their families. Through small projects in schools, towns, and villages, LTCF supports local development and helps implement sustainable agriculture practices to benefit the broader community.
Well Being
LTCF promotes and develops a healthy, productive, and sustainable lifestyle for all families and individuals at work, school, and at home. This is done by initiating both dental and physical Hygiene programs within the school and community.

What WE Do
Lanna Thai Children’s Fund (LTCF) enhances school food programs by establishing sustainable garden and agricultural initiatives, ensuring students receive healthy meals in a clean environment. Additionally, LTCF helps purchase essential other food supplies to guarantee adequate portions for school lunches. As a result, the amount of food available in cafeterias has more than doubled, improving nutrition for students.
Classroom and facilities
LTCF contributes to small projects within the school common areas (any space used by all the student faculty and staff) and class room environments. Larger projects, projects over 30,000BHT (thirty thousand baht) will be done with cooperation from local donors and volunteers. Projects include playground and exercise equipment, grounds maintenance and beautification.
Kitchen
Cafeteria and kitchen facilities are be accessed and LTCF provides assistance where needed, such as putting adequate (anti-pest) storage in place, and assuring that cooking and food preparation equipment is safe and sanitary. LTCF assists with Cafeteria improvements such replacing substandard tables and chairs ensuring that students have a comfortable dinning environment.
Promote Hygiene
LTCF assists schools to put in place proper hygiene and clean facilities such restroom facilities, sanitary sewer, and clean drinking water distribution.
Environmental Awareness
LTCF promotes environmentally conscientious programs that teach children, and the community to be respectful to their environment and natural surroundings. This is done by initiating recycling programs and keeping the school neat and orderly.
